Zunheboto, July 21 (MExN): Zunheboto now has a day bus service connecting it to Dimapur via the state capital Kohima, thanks to the Nagaland State Transport (NST).
On Thursday, Advisor for School Education & SCERT KT Sukhalu launched the new bus service, acknowledging Transport Minister Paiwang Konyak as well as the Sumi Kükami Hoho for initiating the project and making it a reality, a DIPR report stated. He added that the district remains obliged and appreciative of the concerns of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, it said.
The Advisor is also said to have appealed to the Department for proper maintenance of the buses and urged the public to always treat the property as their own to extend its services.
Earlier, short speeches were delivered by President NDPP, Zunheboto region, Khehoshe H Yeptho, and Chairman GBs Union Zunheboto Town, Shihoto Zhimo. Both of them acknowledged the effort of Advisor along with other stakeholders, the DIPR report stated.
The launching program was chaired by Superintendent NST, Zunheboto, N Aier who pointed out that passengers from the district should always insist on buying tickets from the counters while traveling because it not only adds to the revenue of the government but also works as an insurance for the travelers in case of unfortunate incidents.
