Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): In view of the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country and the state, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal has advised the general public of Dimapur to take preventive and precautionary measure against the spread of the disease in the district.
In an advisory issued on Thursday, the DC said that wearing a face mask will be made compulsory in public places and markets. People have been asked to observe COVID-19 appropriate behavior like wearing of face mask, sanitizing of hands and public spaces, and social distancing at public gatherings like cultural, sports, political, religious, entertainment and academic functions.
The DC also directed all shop owners in the district to arrange facilities for sanitation of hand and their shop premises.
Maintaining that the district has recorded low vaccination percentage of the COVID-19 booster dose, he encouraged the public to take the jab from the District Hospital and other government health units.
