Dimapur, July 31 (MExN): The Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) has informed that it would be conducting a four-day education tour across 16 villages under Tobu area of Mon district.

Under the theme ‘Teach for Tobu, Teach for Next Generation,’ the team will be visiting all the Government Primary and Middle Schools as well as health centers from August 1 to 4, TASU President Sangti Konyak and General Secretary Ngaupu informed in a press release on Sunday.

TASU will also be deliberating on various developmental projects with the village councils and student unions across the Tobu Area, it said.

In this connection, the union has appealed to all the village councils and other stakeholders to openly address any grievances or unsatisfactory project works that have been undertaken by various departments.

Stating that ‘many contractors have exploited the community and have taken advantage of the silence for the past so many years,’ the TASU also reminded all the Government employees to be present at their respective places of posting. Any Government staff found absent without proper leave will be forwarded to the concerned department for further necessary action and the union will not be responsible for any issue that may arise, the release cautioned.
