Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): The Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) on Wednesday urged the administration, law-agencies and concerned authorities to resolve the problem with the transporters who have been on strike since September 16. Urging the authorities to take immediate action and resolve the issue, the NMDA , through a press release, stated that the strike and non-functioning of transporters has caused an acute shortage of life-saving drugs and other medicines. “The lives of patients are at risk,” the Association stated; requesting the transporters to resume services in the interest of public health. It also highlighted that medicines fall under the Essential Commodities Act, and said that its supply should be made without any further delay.
