Dimapur, September 20 (MExN): The 9th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) of the INSPIRE MANAK was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from September 14 to 16. The Union Science and Technology Minister, Minister of State (Independent charge) Dr Jitendra Singh on September 16 presented memento and certificates to the top 60 awardees.

This award is instituted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology and National Innovation Foundation-India.

The team from Nagaland included Er Temjenliba Jamir (parent), Lanuchetla Jamir (8th NLEPC top 60 awardee) Temsujungla Jamir (top 60 awardee 9th NLEPC), Alemtula Jamir (Awardee), Lanukala I Jamir, Reader, SCERT, Liaison Officer and Daniel Thong Seb, Associate Prof, SCERT & Nodal Officer for INSPIRE MANAK Scheme.

In the National level competition among the top 60 innovators, Temsujungla Jamir, currently studying at MGHSS Mokokchung, Nagaland surfaced with her mechanical cassava grinding machine. The Director of SCERT, Nagaland, Chumchanbeni Kikon while congratulating her also requested all schools in Nagaland to register in the INSPIRE Awards-MANAK Scheme portal and nominate students for the award.

“We hope that more nominations will be there this year,” Daniel Thong Seb, Associate Prof. SCERT & Nodal Officer for INSPIRE MANAK Scheme stated in a press release.
