LPO gives Lotha Hoho 15 days to select new team | MorungExpress

DIMAPUR, JULY 30 (MExN): The Lotha Public Organization (LPO) today served a 15 day ultimatum to the Lotha Hoho to “reconstruct and reselect” a new team of office bearers following proper guidelines within the stipulated time frame.

A press note from the LPO Chairman, Sulanthung Humtsoe and General Secretary, Zaremo Kikon stated that failure to do so would compel the LPO to function as a “full fledged independent organization as mandated with the interest and support of 94 villages.”

The LPO alleged that the “selection process of the current Lotha Hoho team was unjust, unfair and had lack of transparency as the pro-term speaker did not allow any representative from any Lotha villages to speak out.” It said that the representatives who were present at the selection date were not even given time and chance to mandate their leaders during their December 3, 2018 installation process. ”

The LPO therefore concluded that the “selection process is not valid and authentic and the current LH team is not mandated according to our age old traditions of consensus in all the decision making processes.”
