Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): Joint Council, 4-Lane Foothill Crossroad on Saturday expressed concern that heavy vehicles such as three-axle vehicles or ten wheelers have been plying the route via Old Showuba village, and causing damage to culverts and the recent soling work done on the roads.

In this regard, a press release was issued by the Joint Council Secretary Z Ato Yimchunger and Chairperson Hetoze Chishi, cautioning the concerned truck drivers to immediately stop plying through the route via Old Showuba village. The council also noted that several people have begun to visit the newly constructed four-lane road (Nihoto to Co-operative village) for leisure and picnicking, etc., and have begun to litter within these jurisdictions. It appealed to the citizens against littering within the area and warned that appropriate action, as deemed fit by the Council, would be initiated against defaulters.
