The ENSUB Mr and Ms Freshers with others during the union’s 18th Freshers Day in Bengaluru.
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 28 (MExN): Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Bengaluru (ENSUB) organized the 18th Freshers’ Meet Program on August 27. The event was held at United Theological College (UTC).
Pastor Nikato, Naga Christian Fellowship Bengaluru invoked God’s blessing. The welcome address was delivered by Apongy, President, ENSUB and Pastor Bechung, Eastern Nagaland Fellowship Bengaluru made a special prayer for the Freshers. Phoebe Huang delivered a speech on behalf of the Freshers.
The program was graced by the Guest of Honour, Fr Jerry VM, Lecturer, Salesian College, Dimapur. During his speech, the Guest of Honor recalled his personal experience in Nagaland over the last 18 years where a “sense of connectivity is the essence of community.” I focused on the sharp end to overcome failures which I found was common in Naga Society. I challenged the members of ENSUB to stay connected with the leaders and maintain personal timetables and also advised everyone to take advantage of social media and occupy one’s mind with positive thoughts.
Thopulou, President, NSUB gave a solidarity speech. Saoyang and Phoebe were crowned as Mr and Ms Fresher. Thsachoba TS, Asst Gen Secy delivered the vote of thanks. This was followed by a community feast.
