Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal, convened a meeting of the Dimapur District Task Force for Covid-19 to deliberate precautionary measures and to monitor the preparedness for a possible rise of Covid-19 in the district at DC’s conference hall on Thursday.
A DIPR report stated that in the meeting, the members discussed on how various steps can be taken to contain Covid-19 spread such as creating awareness on the importance of booster dose, wearing masks, restrictions on social gatherings, etc. through various platforms.
CMO Dimapur, Dr. Moa Jamir, while giving a PowerPoint presentation on the current situation and comparative study of the Covid-19 situation in the district, informed that currently, Dimapur has 18 Covid-19 positive cases out of which four were admitted to CIHSR.
He mentioned that from January to June 2022, 30034 people were tested out of which 2378 were tested Covid-19 positive and 29 deaths were reported. On availability of bed occupancy as of July 13, the CMO informed that the District Hospital has 11 normal beds, 50 oxygen-supported beds, 10 ICU beds, and 4 ventilator beds while CHISR has 15 normal beds, 200 oxygen-supported beds, 17 ICU beds, and 11 ventilator beds.
He also said that besides District Hospital and CIHSR some Covid care centers which were installed earlier were also available with all the necessary logistics where a good number of patients can be kept.
