Competition for cleanest colony in Dimapur begins


Dimapur, July 1 (EMN): The competition for cleanest colony in Dimapur for the year 2022, organized by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) under ‘A better Dimapur initiative,’ has commenced.

An update from DMC informed that the best colony would be judged purely on ten criteria for both small and big colonies such as garbage management, drainage management, burning of waste, community toilet, community participation, sanitation committee activities, jungle / foliage clearance, tobacco -free zone, construction and demolition waste not littered / obstructing traffic or general public, and clearance of residential sanitation tax (RST) up to date.

All the colonies under DMC are advised to keep their respective colonies clean, form a sanitation committee, initiate cleanliness drive from time to time, and urged the public to be responsible and maintain hygiene.

The judges for the year 2022 are EAC Sardar Nukshimatong as convenor, DNSU vice president B Mhajan Tsopoe as member secretary, along with NWHD president Duoneinouo Kire, NCD joint secretary Gangangpou, GBUD general secretary T Onen Jamir, and DUCCF general secretary Zasivikho Zakiesato as members .
